Are you a natural storyteller who believes in the power of internal communications to drive culture, connection and pride?
When crafting comms, do you often ask yourself: 'could this be even simpler', 'is there a more engaging way to do this' or 'how would I feel if I were the audience'?
Are you more comfortable saying 'we' rather than 'me', and embody a 'team-first' mindset?
If so, we're looking for an Internal Communications Manager to lead our internal strategy and delivery in Australia - partnering with legal teams, business services, and global colleagues to bring our people and purpose closer together.
In this vital role at Australia's largest global law firm and working in our high-performing and supportive communications team.
What you'll do:
- Lead internal communications across Australia, including supervising and mentoring a colleague.
- Design, deliver and measure internal communications strategies.
- Drive campaigns, events, and content locally; with opportunities to contribute globally.
- Elevate storytelling with engaging visual and multimedia content.
- Support firm leaders with trusted internal communications advice and messaging.
- Review and refine content from around the firm to ensure it aligns with leading communications practice and always hits its intended mark.
- Use analytics to guide and continuously improve impact.
- Collaborate across internal and external communications teams, locally and globally.
- Play a key role in local and global incident management and response.
What you'll bring:
- 6+ years in internal communications.
- A proactive, positive, and solutions-focused mindset.
- Brilliant writing, storytelling, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- An eagerness to try things differently and an attitude that sees barriers as a pivot not a stop.
- Leadership experience (preferable) and a mentoring mentality.
- Confidence providing trusted advice to senior leaders.
- Ability to juggle several priorities under pressure.
- Familiarity with AI and modern comms tools.
- A relevant degree or equivalent experience.
- A caring, collaborative spirit and a sense of fun.
About the team:

Guided by leading communications practice; our Australian team includes a mix of internal and external communication professionals located in Sydney and Melbourne.
