About the Role:

Our client is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure and DevOps Lead to manage and mentor cloud teams across Australia and China. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will drive secure, scalable, and efficient cloud operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and mentor a distributed team of Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps engineers in Australia and China.
  2. Define and execute the cloud infrastructure and DevOps roadmap, including IaC, CI/CD, Kubernetes/EKS, and observability.
  3. Ensure cloud operations comply with security, governance, and regulatory standards (SOC2, ISO27001/27002, Zero Trust).
  4. Oversee global infrastructure performance, resilience, monitoring, and incident response.
  5. Collaborate with development, IT, and security teams to implement scalable, secure, and standardized cloud solutions.

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in Cloud Infrastructure and DevOps
  • Proven leadership managing multi-region engineering teams.
  • Expertise in AWS, Alibaba Cloud, Kubernetes, and IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, observability tools, and DevSecOps practices.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Mandarin-speaking skills are highly desirable to support collaboration with the offshore team in China.
