Summary:

Wirraka Maya Health Service Aboriginal Corporation is seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Services Team Lead to join our Clinic department in South Hedland. This pivotal role involves overseeing the delivery of high-quality clinical services, ensuring compliance with health standards, and fostering a collaborative environment among clinical staff to enhance community health outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical support and guidance to nurses, Aboriginal Health Practitioners, and clinical staff.
  • Lead problem-solving in clinical operations and manage staff performance.
  • Facilitate effective teamwork and ensure compliance with clinical policies.
  • Oversee recall management, clinical consumables procurement, and Medicare billing.
  • Ensure adherence to WMHSAC standards, RACGP, and QIC accreditation requirements.
  • Lead risk management and incident response within clinical services.
  • Identify staff training needs and coordinate in-house and external education programs.
  • Work with Health Promotion to develop client education materials for better community engagement.
  • Manage clinical data collection for funding purposes while ensuring timely submission of reports that comply with accreditation standards.
  • Enforce infection control policies through training sessions for all staff members while maintaining a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

  • Management/Leadership qualification or 4+ years experience in a leadership role within Primary Health Care setting
  • Strong clinical skills coupled with experience in people management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel; willingness to learn health software applications
  • Valid WA driver's license
