Workfast is seeking an experienced Production Supervisoron an ongoing casual basis, leading to a full-time position for our client based inProspectVale, TAS.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-regarded business delivering HVAC fit-outs for marine projects. You'll lead a small team and oversee day-to-day production activities in a specialised, high-quality environment.

What you need:

  • Minimum 3 years of trade production experience
  • Trade background
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Maintenance experience
  • Demonstrated experience managing a small workforce and/or subcontractors and with strong leadership skills
  • A strong understanding of quality, safety, and environmental management systems, with the ability to create a strong safety and high-quality culture
  • Attention to detail and knowledge/experience of quality control techniques
  • Willing to undergo a Pre-employment Medical Check
  • Willing to undergo a National Police check
  • Willing to undergo go Drug And Alcohol test

What you will be doing:

  • Supervising and coordinating all production work assigned in accordance with scheduled projects.
  • Regular reporting of progress to the Project / Production Manager
  • Planning and controlling work carried out is in accordance with the companies policies and procedures
  • Completion of quality check sheets and certification reports
  • Manage and monitor labour levels, ensuring Safety and Product Quality requirements
  • Ensure day to day activities run smoothly and effectively, liaising with the Production Manager
  • Encourage and maintain a safe work environment
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers and sub-contractors.
  • Planning and scheduling production activities to meet project deadlines
  • Managing labour resources and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Overseeing quality control and ensuring all work is documented properly
  • Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain smooth project flow
  • Promoting a safe and efficient work environment for all involved
