Hornsby, New South Wales, Australia Hornsby RSL Gymnastics Full time $64,000 - $86,400 per year

About Us

At Hornsby RSL Gymnastics, we're about more than just perfecting handstands and cartwheels — we're about helping kids grow in confidence, find joy in movement, and feel like they truly belong. Each week, our recreational program welcomes hundreds of young gymnasts into a space that's fun, inclusive, and focused on personal growth.

Our team is passionate, energetic, and deeply committed to making every child's experience a positive one. We're proud to support gymnasts of all ages and abilities as they challenge themselves, build new skills, and celebrate their progress.

We're now looking for a Recreational Programs Supervisor to join our team — someone who's ready to lead with purpose, support our coaches, nurture the growth of our gymnasts, and help deliver an exceptional experience for every family in our community.

The Role

As the Recreational Programs Supervisor, you'll play an instrumental role in shaping the experience of our gymnasts and the success of our recreational programs. You'll be at the forefront of our day-to-day operations, ensuring that every class runs smoothly and that our gymnasts continue to develop their skills in a positive, safe environment.

Your role will be a blend of leadership, mentorship, and communication. You'll oversee the delivery of high-quality gymnastics classes, track the progress of our gymnasts, and lead a dedicated team of coaches who inspire and guide the next generation of athletes. At the same time, you'll be the key point of contact for parents, ensuring their experience with our club is second to none.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee Daily Program Delivery: Ensure smooth, safe, and engaging gymnastics classes, focusing on skill development and class progression
  • Customer Service Excellence: Act as the primary point of contact for parents and gymnasts, responding to inquiries, providing feedback, and addressing any concerns
  • Monitor Gymnast Progression: Track and support gymnast development, ensuring progression and maintaining a focus on both technique and enjoyment
  • Mentor and Support Coaches: Provide guidance, support, and professional development to our coaching team, ensuring high coaching standards and a cohesive, motivated team environment
  • Program Improvement: Assist in the ongoing development and enhancement of our program, class structures, and training materials to ensure we are offering the best experience for all gymnasts
  • Communication: Serve as a key communicator between families and coaching staff, ensuring alignment on goals, expectations, and progress
  • Administrative Support: Assist with scheduling, class coordination, and maintaining program records

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in gymnastics coaching or program management
  • Strong leadership and mentorship skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team of coaches
  • Customer service-oriented with excellent communication skills, both with parents and staff
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks
  • A genuine passion for gymnastics, teaching, and helping children succeed
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including afternoon, evenings and weekends
  • First Aid certification and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Gymnastics Australia coaching accreditation (or willingness to obtain)

What We Offer

  • A dynamic and supportive work environment where your ideas are valued
  • Opportunities for professional growth and development
  • The chance to make a significant impact on young athletes' development
  • Access to an engaged and passionate team
  • Competitive pay and benefits
  • Part time hours (approximately 20hrs per week)
  • Coaching opportunities for the right candidate

Join us in shaping the future of our Recreational Gymnastics Program. If you're ready to take the next step in your gymnastics career and make a real difference, we'd love to hear from you
