This well-loved Australian homewares retailer has for over 30 years, helped create beautiful homes with their stylish and quality product offering. With new stores opening, e-commerce booming, and exciting projects on the horizon, this is a brand on the move. We now have an exciting opportunity as National Retail Manager to help shape the next chapter of this established yet growing success story.
The Role
As National Retail Manager, you will take the reins of all retail operations across Australia. This isn't a desk-bound round, you will need to be out there leading from the front, driving sales, shaping how customers experience the brand and building a team that is as passionate about retail as you are. You will thrive on coaching and mentoring your people, ensuring best practice retail standards around service, in store presentation and the overall customer experience are being upheld. You will have extensive knowledge and experience around commercial real estate in terms of site selection, leading negotiations, dealing with landlords and ensuring the importance of return on investment and maximising floor space. With full P+L responsibility, you will be accountable for the operating profit of your stores and will instinctively understand inventory management, merchandise assortment, wage to sales ratios, customer service standards and loss prevention. Coupled with this, you have an inherent style and appropriate taste levels and are attuned to product trends and colour palettes and enjoy working closely with product and marketing teams. Your leadership will be hands-on, your energy infectious, and your impact will be felt across the ensure business. About You
Your background and experience could come from apparel, homewares, or high-end merchandise multi-site retail management and you will have experience ideally at a State Manager or National Retail Manager level and will have proven background and experience in growing sales, maintaining high level standards across customer service and in store presentation and a leadership style that lifts people up; you turn good teams into great ones. You are strategic and commercially savvy, however never lose sight of the customer. Communication is your superpower, and you are great at building relationships at every level. You are adaptable, thrive on a fast paced and dynamic environment and love working in a business that is going places. Regular travel? No problem—you are eager to get out and connect with your teams nationwide
