The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Manager to lead a high-performing payroll function through both business-as-usual operations and significant transformation. Reporting to the CFO, this is a pivotal role where you'll shape payroll strategy, ensure compliance in a highly regulated environment, and deliver seamless employee experience across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of payroll professionals.
- Oversee accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing.
- Ensure tax, superannuation, and regulatory compliance across the group.
- Act as primary contact for internal and external audits.
- Partner with Finance, HR, IT, and senior leadership to deliver payroll excellence.
- Drive payroll transformation projects, including system upgrades and HRIS implementation.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and risk mitigation.
- Provide strategic payroll advice at executive level.
About You
- 12+ years' payroll experience, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong technical knowledge of payroll legislation, taxation, and superannuation.
- Proven experience in payroll governance, risk management, and audit compliance.
- Track record in leading payroll system implementations and HRIS transformations.
- Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on operational delivery.
- Strong people leadership and team development skills.
- Experience with payroll in complex, regulated industries or large organisations.
