Adelaide, South Australia IHG Hotels & Resorts Full time $60,000 - $80,000 per year

Every plate has the potential to create a memory that lasts a lifetime for our guests. To deliver all this and more, we're looking for a Demi Chef who'll support all kitchen activities and prepare our delicious food across an Al a Carte offering - helping create memorable experiences for guests - whenever and wherever they dine. You'll ensure quality, kitchen maintenance, and inventory functions are kept to our high standards - to make sure your kitchen is always running smoothly.

Every day is different, but you'll mostly be:

  • Making every single meal a feast for the eyes and treat for the tastebuds creating Al a Carte dining options
  • Taking ownership for your workstation – keeping on top of supplies, equipment and waste
  • Develop your team and improve their performance through coaching and feedback - recognise good performance
  • Being cleaner than clean to meet or exceed HACCP requirements
  • Helping with washing up and other kitchen duties where needed
  • Taking on other ad-hoc duties like a true team player

What We need from you:

  • Experience in a busy alacarte dining environment is preffered
  • Right to legally work full time in Australia
  • Qualifications in Commercial Cookery/Culinary Arts from a registered training provider
  • Must hold a current Safe Food Handling Certification
  • Articulate – a great communicator, you'll be warm, welcoming and easy to talk to
  • Flexibility – night, weekend and public holiday shifts are all part of the job
  • Team player with a collaborative approach to work
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise workload
