Are you ready to take your legal career to the next level? Join our dynamic team as a Corporate Lawyer, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the legal landscape of our organisation. You'll be at the forefront of ensuring that we operate with integrity, within legal boundaries, and in full compliance with the latest legislation.
Key duties of this role are to:
- Drive Legal Excellence: Develop and implement robust legal and compliance programs, policies, and procedures that set the standard for our industry.
- Stay Ahead of the Curve: Monitor emerging legal trends and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in our legal and governance practices.
- Be a Deal Maker: Advise on, negotiate, and draft commercial contracts while managing critical legal documentation.
- Risk Management: Provide expert legal advice to mitigate legal risks and navigate complex commercial challenges.
- Legislative Insights: Keep a close eye on proposed and new legislation, ensuring our organisation is always one step ahead.
- Collaborate with Experts:Manage relationships with external legal service providers, ensuring we receive top-tier legal support.
- Champion Privacy: Assist with privacy matters and create policies that safeguard our compliance in this evolving area.
- Educate and Empower: Deliver engaging training programs and communications on key legal issues to our team.
What you can bring to the team
You bring strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build trust, communicate with clarity, influence stakeholders, navigate complex relationships with diplomacy, and remain composed under pressure while delivering practical, solution-focused legal advice.
To succeed in this role, you will be:
- Experienced: You bring four or more years of experience in Corporate/Commercial law, with a strong foundation in legal practice.
- Qualified: You hold a tertiary qualification in Law and a current Practising Certificate as an Australian legal practitioner.
- Versatile: You have a demonstrated ability to build knowledge across various areas of law.
- Contract Savvy:You possess a deep understanding and experience in the commercial and legal aspects of the contract lifecycle.
- Exceptional Communicator:Your written communication skills are top-notch, particularly in crafting legal policy, and regulatory documents.
You will be required to undertake a"Fit2Work" National Criminal History Check andhold or be willing to obtain a Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
