Female Disability Support Worker - Experienced working with kids with Autism

Position: Casual – Up to $43.23/hr + Penalties

Location: Virginia, QLD. Post Code - 4014

Expected Hours: Up to 15-20 hours per week (3-4 hour shifts, 5 days per week)

Time: After school hours support

About the Role:

Envisioning Life Supports is seeking an experienced Female Disability Support Worker to assist our client with disability (an NDIS participant) who is 10 year old.

The client's family needs a female staff who has previous experience working with kids having Autism and behaviours including agression.

The support will be after school hours and for proiding community access and daily living support including self care.

Key Responsibilities:

Support client in accessing the community and daily living support including shower.

Encourage social interaction and participation in activities

Transport client safely to and from destinations

Provide companionship and motivation

What We're Looking For:

Experience working with kids with Autism and behaviours.

A cheerful, friendly, and engaging personality

Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and follow care plans

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and email for documentation

REQUIREMENTS - CHECKS/ CERTIFICATES

  • Cert III or Cert IV in Individual Support, Home & Community Care, Aged Care, Disability Care or higher or willing to work towards
  • Current First aid and CPR qualification or willingness to obtain within three months
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  • COVID-19 minimum 3 doses
  • Infection control training completed
  • Manual handling training completed
  • NDIS Clearance Check
  • Current and Valid Working with Children's Check
  • Current unrestricted and full driver's license
  • Own a reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
