Converge International is a leader in providing workplace health and wellbeing and people risk management solutions. We assist some of Australia's largest industry, government and corporate clients in supporting their people in building healthy workplaces and resolving their people issues.  We provide a range of Employee Assistance Programs, counselling and crisis response services.  In addition, we provide Consulting Services including conflict resolution, coaching, career services and HR Consulting. 

We are seeking a seasoned HR Leader with demonstrated experience managing a geographically dispersed workforce with people management experience. With a solutions-driven change agent mindset, you will help shape a culture where every employee feels valued, inspired, and connected.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will be a motivated self-starter that thrives working on people engagement, employment relations, team management and strategic HR initiatives.

Your key responsibilities will include:

•  Lead the HR function at Converge, including HR Operations and Organisational Development.

•  Strong working knowledge and experience in end-to-end contemporary HR practices, national employment law, and organisational development.

•  Provide expert advice and coaching to managers on a range of ER issues; including absence management, performance, grievances, and disciplinary matters.

•  Own the resolution of complex or sensitive ER cases, ensuring compliance with employment law and best practices.

•  Drive initiatives to promote employee engagement including rolling out engagement surveys, facilitating focus groups, data analysis and action planning.

•  Champion diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.

•  Lead internal communications campaigns that foster transparency and connection.

•  Prepare regular HR reporting to drive data-driven decision making.

•  Sound understanding of OH&S legislation and safety management. 

•  Understanding of contemporary R&R and L&D practices.

•  Experienced in leading through change and growth.

You will be an agile team player who:


•  Has minimum 10 years of experience in generalist HR practices including policy interpretation, HR administration, recruitment, and selection with at least 3-5 years in a senior HR leadership role.

•  Exceptional working knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.

•  You will have a solid appreciation of and be able to add value to commercial efficiencies that support meeting strategic and operational targets.

•  Your professional approach will be reflective of a genuine value of service, relationships and people.

•  Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and inform decisions.

•  Skilled at handling sensitive matters with empathy, discretion, and professionalism.

•  Creative thinker with a passion for workplace culture and employee wellbeing.

•  Ability to build trusted relationships at all levels of the organization.

•  Confident communicator and influencer with a calm, solutions-focused approach.
