People & Talent Manager
As our People & Talent Manager, you'll take the lead in building and scaling a world-class team as we expand across Australia and internationally.
Your focus will be on attracting, hiring, and onboarding exceptional talent across all areas of the business, while laying the foundations for scalable people processes that support our growth. This is a hands-on, strategic role suited to someone who thrives in fast-moving, founder-led environments and loves building high-performing teams from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Recruitment – Lead hiring across all teams, from scoping roles and crafting job descriptions to sourcing, interviewing, and closing top talent.
- Hiring Strategy – Partner with founders and team leads to forecast headcount needs, define role requirements, and build scalable hiring processes.
- Talent Pipeline Development – Build proactive talent pools for critical roles and nurture long-term relationships with potential candidates.
- Employer Branding – Strengthen our brand in the tech and fintech talent market through social, content, and community engagement.
- Candidate Experience – Ensure every applicant, successful or not, has a professional, transparent, and engaging experience with us.
- People Operations (Light Touch) – Maintain HR systems, contracts, and onboarding processes to ensure smooth transitions for new hires.
- Culture & Engagement – Support initiatives that foster connection, recognition, and high performance across the team.
About You
- 5+ years' experience in People & Talent roles, ideally within a high-growth tech or fintech business.
- Comfortable working both strategically and hands-on — you can build a process and execute it yourself.
- Strong understanding of HR operations, recruitment best practices, and Australian employment law.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills — you know how to partner with founders and team leads.
- Passionate about culture, diversity, and creating an inclusive, high-performing environment.
- Experience implementing HR systems or tools, we use Employment Hero.
