RPS Group is seeking an Assistant Product Manager to join our Digital Services Team. In this role, you will help shape the future of our Enterprise Project Management Platform by owning the platform's website. You will identify the needs of project managers, define product requirements, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver features that address complex business challenges. Working alongside engineering, design, customer success, and sales teams, you will contribute to developing our product to become an industry leader in Project Management Software. This position is designed to nurture undergraduates and individuals with a passion for product management, guiding them to become the next generation of Product Leaders

Responsibilities

  • Assist in defining the product vision and strategy aligned with company goals and market needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to identify website needs and define product requirements that support brand objectives.
  • Work with the Product Lead to define and maintain a product roadmap focused on website features and improvements that align with quarterly goals.
  • Write clear, actionable product requirements and user stories to guide development.
  • Own delivery by working with the development team in an Agile context, including conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Monitor product performance metrics and user feedback to inform future iterations and enhancements.
  • Prioritise features and initiatives based on business impact, customer feedback, and technical feasibility.
  • Ensure effective communication with stakeholders to maintain transparency on product goals and progress.
  • Assist with training documentation for successful internal product use and onboarding.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance product execution and quality.

Qualifications
Essential:

  • Solid technical background with hands-on experience in software development and web technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to execution.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Capability to obtain and maintain a minimum Baseline Security Clearance.

Preferred

  • 1-3 years of experience in Product Management, Business Analysis, or related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or Engineering.
  • Familiarity with work management and defect tracking tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira.
  • Experience in an Agile delivery environment.
  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
