Housekeeping Supervisor Job Description

As a senior member of our housekeeping team, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.

  • Assist the Executive Housekeeper in managing daily housekeeping operations across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house.
  • Supervise and support room attendants, public area attendants, and laundry staff to ensure consistent productivity and quality.
  • Conduct regular inspections to maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and maintenance.
  • Oversee stock control and assist with ordering of linen, amenities, and cleaning supplies.
  • Contribute to staff rostering for efficient and cost-effective operations.
  • Coach, mentor, and train team members to support excellence, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Respond promptly to guest feedback and complaints, ensuring quick and effective resolution.
  • Maintain strict adherence to WHS, hygiene, and infection-control protocols.
Key Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a housekeeping leadership role (e.g., Housekeeping Supervisor or similar).
  • Strong people management and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and attention to detail.
  • Organisational and time management skills to handle a fast-paced environment.
