We are a rapidly expanding food manufacturing business located in South West Sydney. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality products to our customers and maintaining a state-of-the-art production facility. As part of our growth plans, we are seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical plant and manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform installations and assist with commissioning of new lines
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Ensure all equipment is operating efficiently and safely.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment overall performance
  • Collaborate with the production team to minimise downtime and disruptions.
  • Populate and maintain MEX preventative maintenance program. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including logs of repairs etc
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role the following knowledge and skills are required

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter in a manufacturing environment.
  • A Trade Qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or equivalent
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills and repairing mechanical issues
  • Familiarity with Tetra, FOGG, Federal or Shikoku machines is highly advantageous.
  • Experience with welding using Oxy, Tig and Mig.
  • Experience with machining, and fabricating parts
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Experience with MEX of preventative maintenance program.
  • Capability to work in a fast-paced FMCG Environment.
