**About the role**
**Conference and Event Manager | European Partnerships**
You will be responsible for securing new and exciting content, with high consumer and audience appeal, and organising all elements of the delivery of the IBC and European partnership elements of the GABS events. Whilst nurturing relationships, managing suppliers and providing positive outcomes for all stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered within budget and on time.
**Key Accountabilities**
- Collaborate with the leadership team on creating the strategy for new German, Spanish and European and local beverage and industry related content partnerships for our events.
- Develop an event budget to deliver to approved show, event or function. Negotiate cost of services and deliver within budget. Identify supplier opportunities that will reduce costs to company by negotiating and contracting contra partnerships
- Secure all German, Spanish and European partnerships, content and talent for the show, event or function. Work with European country and city tourism destination bodies to collaborate on the event. Work with German embassies and Australian based German business organisations to collaborate on the event.
- Provide innovative and creative solutions for international and local partners. Develop and manage partner contracts and be knowledgeable in partners’ product, company and industry.
- Actively participate in meetings with partners, create agendas, keep notes, and follow up on action items. Act as the primary contact for event supplier and customer enquiries.
- Management of international and local partner travel and accommodation requirements.
- Brief and/or create collateral and material including presentations, table menus, seating plans etc. Create AV run sheets. Create staff role briefs. Source presentation materials from partners.
- Support suppliers with key information and weekly updates.
- Manage promoting of the show, event or function to potential customers. Do website and social media updates related to event promotion and partner content and timetables.
- Coordinate and send complimentary tickets / ticket offers to partners.
- Manage the process for post-show partner reporting including approval and presentation.
- Provide updates in the weekly team meeting on all upcoming events.
- Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with all stakeholders.
- Other event organiser duties on the Spectapular portfolios as they occur.
**Education & Accreditation**
- Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification
- Fluent in English, German and Spanish languages.
**Related Experience**
- Event Management/Organiser Experience.
- Network with European Brewing and Tourism Industry.
**Skills/Competencies**
- Experience in planning, developing and organising conferences and events
- Fluent in English, German and Spanish languages
- Ability to build, manage and deliver conference and event budgets
- Coordinating of production and delivery of events within time and budget constraints
- Experience in planning, developing and organising advertising policies and campaigns to support sales objectives
- Coordinating production of advertising campaigns to promote the events to potential customers.
- Experience is delivering META, Google and Mailchimp digital campaigns
- Analysing data and market research regarding consumer patterns and preferences to identify market opportunities of future show content
- Supporting business growth and development through the preparation and execution of event management and marketing objectives, policies and programs
- Commissioning and undertaking market research to identify market opportunities for new and existing goods and services
- Well-developed customer service focus with excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Exceptional organisational and planning skills that contribute to effective and efficient project execution
- High attentionto detail, organised and the abilityto multi task under pressure and work on a number of campaigns simultaneously
- Ability to problem solve that contributes to productive and creative outcomes
- Demonstrate time management skills, including the abilityto prioritise tasks and to meet deadlines on time and on budget
- Pro-active, self-motivating and accountable
- Ability to travel interstate and work variablehours when required
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
