We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Assistant Centre Director with a minimim of Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care qualification to join our supportive and dedicated team. The ideal candidate will bring a kind, collaborative approach to leadership, with at least two years of experience in a leadership role, including acting as the Responsible Person.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the Responsible Person in the absence of the Director, ensuring the centre operates in alignment with the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations.

  • Lead by example to promote a culture of Kindness, Empathy and Gratitude, respect, and collaboration among educators, children, and families.

  • Mentor and support educators in delivering a child-led, inclusive, and meaningful curriculum, guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).

  • Encourage and facilitate ongoing critical reflection and professional growth within the team.

  • Ensure the centre meets all compliance and regulatory requirements, including health and safety, documentation, and staff-to-child ratios.

  • Foster genuine, trusting relationships with children, families, educators, and the broader community.

  • Contribute to administrative responsibilities, including rostering, enrolments, audits, and maintaining the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP)/ Self-assessment tool.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education or ACECQA-approved equivalent.
  • A minimum of two years' assistant centre director role or leadership experience in early childhood education.
  • Experience in the Responsible Person role under the National Law.
  • Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework (NQF), Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), and National Quality Standard (NQS).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead with kindness, integrity, Honesty, and clear communication.
  • Confidence in guiding critical reflections that drive continuous improvement.
  • Current certifications in First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis, and Child Protection, Safe Sleep, Child Safe Modules 1-7.
  • A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC).
