A small, friendly manufacturing business in Dandenong is looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their tight-knit team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a busy hands-on role and being a key part of a dynamic business.

Reporting into the Senior Accountant, you will:

  • Process and reconcile invoices, purchase orders, and payments
  • Raise 300 to 500 purchase orders per month with accuracy
  • Enter 400 to 1,000 invoices per month — attention to detail is key
  • Prepare monthly project contract claims (full training provided)
  • Chase payment schedules and accounts receivable
  • Confidently contact suppliers to resolve incorrect invoices
  • Maintain accurate financial records
  • Assist with other finance-related tasks as required.

About you

  • Someone who thrives in a busy, supportive, small team environment.
  • Looking for full-time work OR 3 - 4 days week.
  • Accounting qualifications preferred or someone highly capable, qualified by experience.
  • Highly accurate, confident with data entry
  • Organised and with proven high-volume accounts experience.
  • Positive team member and confident communicator to interact with colleagues and suppliers.
  • Proactive and able to problem-solve with suppliers.
