What You'll Be Doing

General Ledger & Month-End Support

·       Assist with journal entries, accruals, and prepayments

·       Support month-end and year-end close activities

·       Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate/resolve discrepancies

Accounts Payable & Receivable

·       Support payables with invoice processing and payment runs

·       Support receivables with reporting and outstanding accounts

·       Maintain accurate supplier and customer records

Financial Reporting & Analysis

·       Prepare basic financial reports for internal stakeholders

·       Assist with forecasts, budgets, and performance tracking

·       Support planning and analysis activities

Compliance & Audit

·       Assist with audit documentation and tax compliance (FBT, BAS, PAYG)

·       Prepare annual payroll tax and WorkCover reconciliations

·       Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies

Systems & Process Improvement

·       Learn and use financial systems (ERP, Excel, reporting tools)

·       Identify process improvement opportunities

·       Support finance projects and system upgrades

Team Collaboration & Learning

·       Work closely with regional finance teams

·       Engage in training and professional development

·       Support other finance functions during busy periods or leave

Other Tasks

  • Cashflow reporting and forecasting
  • Assist with inventory management and stock adjustments
  • Assist with Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Accounts Receivable and OTD reporting requirements
  • PPSR registrations
  • Assist with motor vehicle fleet management
  • Collate and process company credit card transactions

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or 2+ years' finance experience)
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confident Excel skills and eagerness to learn ERP systems
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
