We're looking for an experienced Solution Designer to lead critical migration and integration projects, modernise legacy data systems, and deliver robust, high-performing solutions for a leading financial services organisation.

What you'll do
  • Design and implement scalable data solutions using Informatica IDMC/CDI, PowerCenter, and related ETL tools.
  • Lead solution design for migration and re-platforming projects, including data analysis, impact assessments, and detailed flow diagrams.
  • Modernise and re-engineer legacy data warehouses and ETL workflows into efficient, future-ready architectures.
  • Build and optimise complex ETL pipelines ensuring performance, integrity, and scalability across on-prem and hybrid environments.
  • Apply data governance and quality frameworks with Informatica IDQ.
  • Streamline deployments through CI/CD practices (Bitbucket, GitHub Actions).
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring, sharing best practices with the wider team.
What we're looking for
  • Senior-level experience in data engineering and solution design with deep expertise in Informatica (IDMC/CDI, PowerCenter).
  • Proven success delivering large-scale migrations, re-platforming, or modernization projects.
  • Strong background working with legacy platforms (Oracle, DB2, custom systems) and RDBMS (Oracle, Postgres, SQL/PL-SQL).
  • Knowledge of data modelling (relational, dimensional, operational) and governance (row/column-level security).
  • Familiarity with Agile practices (JIRA, Confluence).
  • Exposure to data visualisation tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker) is a plus.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills.
  • Must have experience in financial services environment.
