About the role
The Product Designer will be responsible for leading the end-to-end design of Seer Data's digital products, crafting user experiences that are intuitive, functional, impactful and delightful.
Working closely with the Product Manager and Product Engineering team, the Product Designer will take full ownership of the UI/UIX design process, from research and ideation to prototyping, validation and implementation. This role requires someone who not only thinks deeply about the user experience, but also understands the realities of implementation. You'll bring ideas to life both visually and strategically, solving complex problems with elegant and accessible design solutions that balance user needs, business goals and technical feasibility.
This role will suit a confident designer with strong initiative, a sharp design mind, and a genuine passion for creating beautiful and usable products.
The successful applicant for this position will be required to work from our Sydney CBD office in a hybrid work arrangement.
Your Responsibilities
- Responsible for the full product design process, working closely with the Product and Engineering team to create intuitive and impactful user experiences.
- Meeting with customers (primarily via video calls) to understand the problems they are trying to solve and devising solutions to assist.
- Conducting user and market research to develop user personas, journeys, and user flows.
- Translating ideas and concepts into wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes that enhance user experience and add value to customers.
- Evolving and maintaining a design system of reusable UI components.
- Running solution validation and usability testing to inform design iterations and improvements.
- Collaborating with the engineering team and broader business from discovery through to delivery.
- Ensuring brand consistency across all design outputs, including internal and external materials.
- Undertaking any other duties as required to support the product development, go-to-market, and user experience strategies.
- Completing and maintaining all required Seer Data prescribed training modules/courses.

Your Capabilities/Competencies
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma (preferred), Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of user experience (UX) principles, interaction design, and usability testing.
- Experience in developing wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs.
- Ability to conduct user research, synthesize insights, and translate findings into actionable design improvements.
- Graphic design experience, with a strong sense of layout, typography, and visual hierarchy across both digital and print formats.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present and articulate design decisions effectively.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices in inclusive design.
- A collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
- (Desirable) Basic understanding of front-end development principles (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
Your Qualifications
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, UX/UI, or a related field (preferred but not essential).
- 3+ years of experience in product design, UX/UI design, or a multidisciplinary design role.
- A portfolio showcasing your end-to-end design process, UX thinking, and examples of product design work.
Salary Range
$110,000 - $130,000 + super and employee options grant
