About the Role

The
Solution Designer
role sits at the intersection of
data engineering, analytics, platform architecture, and project delivery
, providing
thought leadership and innovation
for enterprise-grade data solutions. This role is accountable for the
end-to-end solution design
- from data extraction from source systems to ingestion, transformation, and creation of
reusable data assets
ready for analytics and business consumption.

You will work closely with architects, data engineers, and business stakeholders to design scalable, efficient, and future-ready data platforms and integration solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and support
    end-to-end data solutions
    across multiple industry verticals.
  • Build and maintain
    batch and near real-time data pipelines
    using modern data engineering frameworks.
  • Demonstrate deep understanding of
    data architectures, data platforms, big data, data lakes, data warehousing, ML/AI, analytics, cloud platforms, data governance, and information management
    .
  • Lead
    data ingestion and transformation
    design, ensuring high quality, reusable, and performant solutions.
  • Develop and present
    Proof of Concepts (PoCs)
    and working prototypes for solution validation.
  • Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders through
    workshops, consulting engagements, and delivery projects
    .
  • Provide
    technical leadership and mentorship
    to junior engineers and consultants.
  • Work closely with client and internal architecture teams to
    design and defend data solutions
    in complex enterprise environments.
  • Ensure solution designs align with
    enterprise data strategy, security, and compliance
    requirements.

Experience and Skills Required

  • Proven experience in
    Big Data platform delivery
    and
    data project execution
    within
    cloud and on-premises data lake environments
    .
  • 7+ years
    in data projects involving design and engineering of complex data processes.
  • 3+ years
    in large and complex
    financial services or banking
    environments.
  • 3+ years
    of hands-on experience in
    advanced data transformation
    , data quality analysis, and remediation.
  • Strong experience designing
    data pipelines, ingestion frameworks, and integration patterns
    .
  • Proficient with
    Unix/Linux
    ,
    Hadoop
    ,
    Azure
    ,
    Apache Spark (PySpark)
    , and
    Python
    .
  • Demonstrated ability to
    present and defend architectural decisions
    to senior stakeholders and large technical forums.
  • Excellent
    verbal and written communication
    skills for effective stakeholder engagement and documentation.
  • Strong
    collaboration, problem-solving
    , and
    time management
    skills in agile, fast-paced environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to
    lead end-to-end solutions
    , troubleshoot delivery issues, and guide technical teams.
