About the role

The City of Nedlands is seeking a customer-focused and energetic individual to join our friendly customer service team on a full-time basis.

As a Customer Service Officer, you will be the first point of contact for customers and play a vital role in delivering efficient and high-quality service to the Nedlands community, visitors, and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

  • Resolve and assist with a variety of queries and incidents for stakeholders.
  • Process and receipt cash, cheque, and EFTOPS transactions both over the counter and over the phone.
  • Check-in visitors to the City.
  • Ensure keys for facilities bookings are organised and ready for collection and monitor and report unreturned keys.
  • Organise and categorise incoming mails, name, and scan documents to internal departments.

About the successful candidate

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a similar role, strong customer service skills, a professional telephone manner, and the ability to quickly adapt to new systems and procedures. Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills are essential.

Experience in cash handling and receipting will be highly regarded. The successful candidate must also possess a valid National Police Certificate, issued within the last 3 months.

What we offer

This full-time, permanent position offers a cash salary range of $64,332 - $71,019 per annum, dependent on skills and experience, plus superannuation.
