About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-driven Senior Information Management Officer to strengthen our records and information governance. Reporting to the Information Technology Governance Coordinator, you will manage Freedom of Information (FOI) requests, enhance digital recordkeeping systems, and promote best practices across the City. This role suits someone with strong legislative knowledge, analytical skills, and a passion for digital transformation and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage FOI requests in line with legislative requirements.
- Maintain and improve digital and physical document management systems (including EDRMS).
- Provide expert advice and training on records management and FOI processes.
- Help develop and implement policies and procedures for information governance.
- Support audits, compliance reviews, and digitisation initiatives.
About the Successful Candidate
You are a detail-oriented professional with a solid background in information governance and compliance. You enjoy improving systems, collaborating across teams, and delivering high standards in service and recordkeeping.
You will bring:
- Strong knowledge of the State Records Act 2000 and Freedom of Information Act 1992.
- Experience with SharePoint365, RecordPoint365, and TechnologyOne ECM.
- Familiarity with classification systems and retention schedules.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and training delivery skills.
- At least 3 years' experience in records/information management (preferably in government).
- A current National Police Certificate.
What We Offer
This full-time, contract position (until 31 July 2026) offers a salary of $84,739 - $98,574 per annum, dependent on skills and experience, plus superannuation.
