Contract:

This is a merit pool and successful applicants may be offered a role over the next 12 months based on business needs. Multiple vacancies currently exist in the team and there is a possibility of further extension or an opportunity for a longer-term employment.

Desirable Qualifications:

A tertiary qualification in natural resources management, park management, environmental science, agricultural science or equivalent

Special Conditions:

  • The position will be located at an office in either Mt Barker or Adelaide (Waymouth St).
  • If appropriate, an arrangement to ensure suitable time is spent working from a regional office and Adelaide can be negotiated if the successful applicant is unable to be based within a regional office full time.
  • May be required to participate in fire management or associated duties.
  • The incumbent may be required to work alone in a field environment from time to time.
  • Must hold a current drivers' licence and be prepared to undertake 4WD training.
  • Some out of hours work, intrastate travel involving overnight absences from home and attendance at public meetings out of normal office hours may be required.
  • All staff are encouraged to wear the appropriate uniform in any public setting to represent DEW in a professional manner.
  • The incumbent must be willing to undertake accredited training that relates to the administration of the Flows for the Future project, as required.
  • May be required to work on weekends and public holidays for which a loading will be paid.

Remuneration:

OPS3 ($67,589 min - $72,033 max) p.a.
