The Finch is on the lookout for experienced front to house team members with table waiting and / or barista skills to join our team.

We operate dynamic cafes with a strong focus on high quality locally produced food and specialty coffee.  We take a wholesome approach to food producing nourishing and contemporary breakfast, lunch, dinner and catering products.  Our mission is to serve our community by delivering instagrammable & delicious meals and drinks in a warm and inviting setting.  We love giving back via local schools, sports and community groups.  We take a wholesome approach to food producing almost everything from scratch from sauces to pickles and baked goods.  Our smart casual modern Australian menu is matched by high quality service to create a quality dining experience.  We love what we do and enjoy working with like-minded people.

The Front of House staff are the face of the business. They are responsible for creating the customer experience and ensuring the sequence of service is executed professionally and accurately. They must be engaged with all areas of the business, including menu knowledge, dietary knowledge, events and promotions, and the overall running of the cafe. The more advanced staff will be competent on the coffee machine, and assist the Supervisors in the training and supervision of junior staff.

Experience and Qualities

  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Strong intra-personal skills
  • Excellent knowledge and execution of the order of service
  • Delivery of food and drinks to the table promptly and accurately
  • Clear and clean tables as required
  • Greet all customer with fast, friendly, personalized service and develop a genuine rapport with customers.
