We are seeking an experienced Chef to join our team at Kingfishers Cafe & Restaurant in Toowoomba, QLD. As a member of our vibrant kitchen, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our customers.

What you'll be doing

  • Prepare and cook a variety of high-quality dishes, focusing on fresh, locally-sourced ingredients
  • Ensure all dishes are presented to the highest standard, adhering to our brand guidelines
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and improve existing ones
  • Maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen environment
  • Comply with all food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Mentor and train junior kitchen staff to uphold our culinary standards

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Chef in a fast-paced, high-quality restaurant environment
  • Strong working knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and presentation
  • Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Passion for creating delicious, visually appealing dishes
  • Qualifications in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
