About us

The Parkhouse Cafe is a well established cafe in East Toowoomba. Our environment is busy and energetic with each day providing new rewards and challenges. Our cafe seeks to offer a service that will exceed customer expectations, with friendly efficient service and great food. We have a solid regular customer base although was also see many tourists being located directly opposite queens park gardens. This role would suit an ambitious upcoming hospitality professional with the opportunity to advance in the future.

Position

Options available for permanent part time or full time position. A full time role will require weekend work, night work is not required.

This is suitable for an experienced hospitality professional who is looking to advance to a supervisory position previous management experience is not required.

Qualifications & experience

  • Minimum two years experience in a front of house hospitality role is required.
  • Minimum one year experience as a senior wait person in a table service environment is preferred.
  • Barista experience an advantage.
  • Management experience not essential on the job training will be provided to the right applicant.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Supervise junior staff including allocating tasks and monitoring completed work to ensure quality is maintained.
  • Assist customers with special requirements and manage any feedback. Including resolving any complaints if required.
  • Communicate with chefs and baristas as required to ensure customer expectations have been reached.
  • Assist and guide junior staff with set up and pack down of restaurant, including opening and closing store.
  • Accurately allocate and prepare tables for upcoming bookings.
  • Actively participate in all hands on duties alongside the team.
