About the role

Munch Cafe' is seeking a passionate and skilled Short Order Cook to join our team in Toowoomba, Queensland. In this casual role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced cafe environment. What you'll be doing

  1. Preparing a variety of hot and cold menu items to our customers' specifications
  2. Maintaining a clean and organised work station to ensure efficient food preparation
  3. Collaborating with the front-of-house team to deliver exceptional customer service
  4. Adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards
  5. Assisting with inventory management and stock rotation
  6. Contributing to the continuous improvement of our kitchen operations

What we're looking for

  1. Previous experience as a short order cook or in a similar fast-paced kitchen environment
  2. Strong time management and multitasking skills to thrive in a busy cafe setting
  3. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality dishes
  4. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  5. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
  6. Enthusiasm for creating delicious, visually appealing meals
