Production Manager

At our Riverwood site, South-West Sydney we have an exciting permanent opportunity for an experienced Production Manager to lead and develop our production team.  This is a permanent full-time role working Monday to Friday.

Reporting to the Site Manager the role will manage and develop a team of Supervisors/Team Leaders to enable us to ensure our production runs to the planned schedule and KPI's are met.

The roles offer a unique opportunity make a lasting impact on our organization and involves:

  • Driving and overseeing the daily production operations in line with targets (quality, output, safety).
  • Implementing standards, procedures and processes to ensure the high quality of products.
  • Working alongside QA and logistics functions to achieve the production plan each shift.
  • Overseeing processing of products and enforcing quality controls to correct standards.
  • Undertaking issue identification and resolution including making decisions about equipment utilisation, maintenance, modification and procurement.
  • Leading, coaching, and developing the production team fostering a positive culture and working environment.
  • Managing and motivating the production team, including conducting performance reviews, facilitating training, and supporting professional development.
  • Ensuring the highest benchmark of food safety and quality is maintained in accordance with HACCP regulations and the Company Quality Management System.
  • Championing people safety ensuring each shift adheres to agreed systems and processes.
  • Driving continuous improvement to optimise manufacturing processes

The successful applicant will have:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in high volume FMCG, preferably in food manufacturing
  • Developed people management skills
  • Sound practical knowledge of GMP and HACCP
  • Understanding of people safety practices, operating food manufacturing equipment used in production environment
  • Effective communication and inter-personal skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making capabilities under pressure
  • Proficiency in using standard IT systems
