Position Summary
The FAM role serves as the vital link between MiTek and our customers, combining account management with expert technical support. You will deliver high-quality technical assistance and related services, including comprehensive support for the full MiTek suite of software.
You will also help develop efficient systems and processes to enhance customer experience and operational effectiveness.
By deeply understanding customer needs and pain points, you will build and nurture strong, trusted relationships. Leveraging your expertise across all MiTek solutions — including Products, Automation, Services, and Software — you will identify and capitalise on opportunities that add real value and drive customer success.
The MiTek Senior Fabrication Account Manager is also responsible for the ongoing technical development of the Fabrication Account Managers within the state. The Senior FAM is to act as a mentor working in collaboration with the State Sales Manager in the skills advancement of the team.
Minimum Qualification & Experience
Solid technical and spatial understanding essential. Along with strong computer skills. Building knowledge, CAD skills or IT knowledge required.
Key account management experience combined with a proven sales background within the building industry or related trades

Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to agreed call cycle visits on fabricators to ensure adequate coverage, appropriate frequency of calls and meaningful contact on each visit.
- Provide a range of support services including computer/systems support for roof truss, floor truss and wall frame using MiTek Software, advice on truss plant management and equipment and promote Builders Hardware products, Automation and MiTek Services where appropriate.
- Be across and understand your allocated fabricator sales volumes in line with MiTek budgets and forecasts and report/investigate and elevate any concerns to management.
- Develop close and enduring business relationships with Fabricators by understanding their needs and providing the necessary support, services, and products.
- Assist in Fabricator training as required.
- Maintain an understanding and working knowledge of all MiTek Software being developed.
- Liaise with training staff to ensure adequate material is available for Fabricators.
- Represent the Fabricator needs by writing clear requirements for nominated issues/project as raised by fabricators and passing this information on to the appropriate teams for resolution and follow up till an outcome is communicated to the fabricator.
- Provide assistance with pre-release and Beta testing of MiTek Software both in-house and at MiTek – Fabricator sites
- Collaborate with Software, Engineering and other MiTek departments to ensure that service is being provided at the highest possible level.
- Actively participate in the installation and update of computer systems and truss equipment.
- Assist your sales team to develop sales strategies.
- Service and develop current and potential Fabricators.
- Maintain communication with competitor Fabricators and new prospective Fabricators to work towards their adoption of the MiTek system.
- Establish an understanding of competitive products and services and monitor and report on competitive activities.
- Keep up to date with the latest software releases, to the point where when required, it could be demonstrated to both existing and potential Fabricators.
- Maintain records through CRM system and provide regular reports weekly/monthly progress, roadblocks and recommendations on all aspects of field activities as required by management.
- Work with a wide variety of personnel, different levels and roles within our fabricator partner's businesses.
- Assist our fabricator partners in becoming a more effective business.
