Santos is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Machine Operator to work on our dry and wet roasting, and mixing production lines.

The successful applicant will be responsible for handling food and raw materials, assist in the operating of our dry and wet roasting, and mixing production lines, and reporting any issues with the products and/or equipment directly to the Production Manager.

**RESPONSIBILIES & DUTIES**

The primary responsibility for a Machine Operator, is to carry out and complete the daily roasting and mixing jobs, as set by the Production Manager, and clean and maintain all roasting and mixing equipment to company standards.

The Machine Operator reports directly to the Production Manager.
- Preparation of raw materials for roasting and/or mixing.
- Preparation of equipment for roasting and/or mixing.
- Follow work instructions and production recipes.
- Feed raw materials into the roasters and mixer.
- Process (i.e. pack, wrap, label) roasted product ready for next stage
- Monitor the roasting/mixing process
- Carry out basic quality and testing checks and recording results on all relevant QA forms.
- Store goods and raw materials properly in designated areas
- Clean and maintain work areas and equipment to company standard through regular cleaning

**SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS**
- School leaver’s certificate
- 2+ years’ experience working in the food and/or manufacturing industry
- Forklift license (not compulsory)
- Strong work ethic and organisational skills
- Able to multi-task in a fast paced food production environment
- Capable of lifting 25kg unassisted
- Able to work on foot for extended periods of time
- Reliable mode of transport

**Salary**: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Afternoon shift
- Morning shift
- Shift work

Supplementary Pay:

- Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Riverwood, NSW 2210: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Machine operating: 2 years (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
