Santos is currently seeking a skilled and experienced machine operator to operate and maintain packing machines on our various production lines.

The successful applicant will be responsible for handling food and raw materials, assist in the operation of packing equipment and reporting any issues with the products and/or equipment directly with the Production Manager.

**Daily duties include**:

- Managing a team of packers to complete all packing jobs on a given production line.
- Set up packing equipment on the production line for each job.
- Ensure all raw materials required for each job are readily available for packing.
- Effectively monitor packing equipment and the packing process to ensure all targets are met.
- Carry out quality and testing checks and recording results on all relevant QA forms.
- Store goods and raw materials properly in designated areas.
- Maintain a safe and clean workplace.

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- School leaver's certificate or equivalent
- 5+ years' experience working in the food and/or manufacturing industry with knowledge of machines in manufacturing setting
- Forklift License (not compulsory)
- Committed to quality, safety and communication
- Team-orientated and self-directed
- Capable of lifting 25kg unassisted and stand for an 8 hour work shift
- Reliable mode of transport

**Salary**: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Afternoon shift
- Morning shift
- Shift work

Supplementary Pay:

- Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Riverwood, NSW 2210: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Machine operating: 2 years (preferred)
