Excel Building Management is a leading Building Management company servicing Sydney's High-end Residential and Commercial Strata Title Markets for over 24 years. Our core in-house services include Building Management, Concierge and Cleaning Services, and we manage a large portfolio of high-profile clients based in Sydney and foster an environment of transparency, collaboration, respect, and integrity.
This is a rewarding and challenging role working collaboratively with the Building Management Committee and Owners Corporations to ensure their mixed-use site is managed and maintained to an excellent standard.
Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking an experienced Senior Building Manager to join our team in the Sydney CBD / Potts Point area. This is a long-term and stable career opportunity, supported by our Operations team and Head Office.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Strata Building Management or a related property/facilities management role
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage contractors, residents, and committees
- Emotional maturity, professionalism, and the ability to effectively manage different personalities
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
- A proactive and service-focused mindset, with resilience and attention to detail
Key Responsibilities include:
- Managing contractors, consultants, and service providers
- Liaising extensively with Owners, Residents, Strata Managers and Committee Members
- Implementing preventative maintenance programs
- Coordinating and responding to reactive repairs
- Scheduling statutory certifications and inspections of common property
- Preparing detailed reports and maintaining accurate site records
- Overseeing WHS and environmental requirements, including contractor inductions and compliance
- Proven experience in the strata industry is essential
- Strong administrative and IT skills (Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Conflict resolution and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to influence, motivate, and lead a team
- Professional presentation, reliability, and a positive attitude
