About the role

Waterpoint Building Management is seeking an experienced Building Manager to oversee the daily operations of a Residential Highrise property located in Sydney Olympic Park & surrounding areas. This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the building, while also contributing to the overall success of the business.

What you'll be doing

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance staff and external contractors to ensure all building systems and services are well-maintained and functioning effectively
  • Manage budgets and procurement for building maintenance, repairs and upgrades
  • Liaise with tenants, respond to their queries and address any concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensure the building meets all relevant safety, security and compliance standards
  • Oversee the implementation of energy-efficient practices and sustainability initiatives
  • Prepare regular reports on the building's performance and make recommendations for improvements
  • Assist with the development and implementation of the building's strategic plan

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 1 years' experience in a similar building or facilities management role
  • Strong working knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures and compliance requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Proficient in using building management software and other relevant digital tools
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically
  • Relevant qualifications in building management, property management or a trade is advantageous
