We are one of North Queensland's largest and most experienced contractors, with over 45 years delivering earthmoving, mining, quarrying, demolition and crushing services. Based in Townsville, we operate throughout Northern and Central Queensland, from Cairns to Rockhampton and inland to Mount Isa. Our diverse fleet ranges from crushers to heavy earthmoving plant, and we pride ourselves on safety, reliability and quality.


About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Diesel Fitter / Mechanic to join our team. You'll be working on a wide variety of machinery both in our workshop and out in the field when required. This is a permanent, full-time role based in Townsville — no FIFO/DIDO — offering stability, variety and a supportive team culture.


Key Responsibilities
  • Service, inspect, diagnose and repair a wide range of equipment from crushers to construction machinery.
  • Perform field service work as required.
  • Lead and mentor a small team of apprentices.
  • Complete accurate, checklist-based reports via our app.
  • Maintain a safe and tidy work environment, ensuring compliance with all safety procedures.

Requirements
  • Australian Recognised Trade Certificate and/or proven heavy equipment experience.
  • Current manual driver's licence.
  • Own tools suited to the role (up to 50mm sockets and spanners).

  • Highly regarded (but not essential):

  • Truck licence

  • Forklift licence
  • Air conditioning ticket
  • Crusher and screening plant experience
