RPC Diesel and Hydraulics have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Heavy Diesel Fitter to join our family owned and operated business based in Townsville.

We are looking for someone who's keen to get stuck into a mix of workshop and on-the-road jobs. If you like a bit of variety, enjoy working with a good crew, and want a role where your skills are appreciated — this could be a great fit.

To offer:

· Company field service vehicle supplied

· Immediate start

· Permanent full time or casual position available

· Field service work, call outs, overtime and options to grow into different roles

· Rewarding pay that matches your skills set, work ethic and dedication

· Day fortnight available

Key responsibilities include:

· Perform scheduled maintenance & servicing

· Diagnose and repair mechanical faults across a range of vehicles & equipment

· Utilise diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve issues efficiently

· Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment

· Maintain a clean and tidy workshop

The successful applicant will be required to have the following:

· Formal qualifications in Heavy Diesel Mechanics or a related Automotive Trade

· Have experience working on a wide range of heavy trucks and machinery

· Hydraulic experience (desirable)

· Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

· A can-do attitude and willingness to go the extra mile

· Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to high quality standards

· Efficient communication skills to liaise with clients and team members

· Computer skills incl experience with electronic purchase orders and timesheets

· Manual drivers licence (Essential), Truck licence (Desirable)
