The Opportunity

A newly created opportunity has arisen for a junior lawyer to join a highly respected Brisbane CBD law firm within its Wills and Estate Planning team. 

Working closely with experienced senior lawyers and directors recognised for their expertise in succession law, you'll gain hands-on exposure to quality client work while developing your technical skills, confidence, and long-term career in estate planning and administration.

About the Role

You'll support senior lawyers across a broad range of matters, including:

  • Drafting wills, powers of attorney, and testamentary trust documents
  • Assisting with estate administration, including probate applications and asset distribution
  • Supporting senior lawyers on contested estates and succession disputes
  • Conducting legal research and preparing advice
  • Drafting court documents, correspondence, and client communications
  • Attending client meetings, mediations, and court appearances with senior practitioners
  • Assisting with file management, document review, and tracking deadlines.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Minimum 1+ years post-admission experience in estate planning and administration
  • A strong interest in estate planning and administration law
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn from senior practitioners
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail.

This position is ideal for a junior lawyer looking to build a specialist career in succession law with strong mentorship and career development support.
