Walker Pender has one of the longest-standing and most experienced wills and estates teams in Queensland.

Join the growing Walker Pender Group as a Wills and Estates Lawyer As a Wills and Estates Lawyer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality legal services to a diverse client base, with a focus on drafting and administering wills, managing estates, and advising on inheritance and succession planning. This full-time role is based in our modern Ipswich, Queensland office.

What you'll be doing

  • Drafting and reviewing wills, enduring powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents
  • Advising clients on estate planning strategies and ensuring their wishes are properly documented
  • Managing the administration of deceased estates, including liaising with executors, beneficiaries, and other stakeholders
  • Providing guidance on issues related to inheritance, trusts, and succession planning
  • Representing clients in probate and estate litigation matters
  • Staying up-to-date with changes in relevant laws and regulations
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and other legal professionals

What we're looking for

  • Experience in wills and estates law preferred but not essential
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to clients
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in using legal research tools and software
  • Commitment to providing exceptional client service and maintaining the highest ethical standards
