Key responsibilities for this role:

The Regional Health and Safety Partner plays a critical role in supporting the delivery of health and safety initiatives across regional operations. 

Working closely with operational leaders, contractors, and employees, the role ensures the effective implementation of safety systems, fosters a strong safety culture, and provides hands-on support in risk management, incident response, and continuous improvement.

Key aspects of this role include:

  • Supporting and monitoring Safety Management System Implementation
  • Facilitation of incident, hazard and other health and safety recording, investigation, and improvement action delivery.
  • Leading regional health and safety inspection and audit programs
  • Mentoring and Training in use of Safety Management System processes
  • Contribute to ongoing development and review of Safety Management Systems pro-cesses and tools.

Our team is looking for someone who has:

  • Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or equivalent), with more than 3 years' ex-perience in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding workplace health and safety legislation and risk management principles.
  • Proven ability to conduct site inspections and supporting incident investigations
  • Leadership skills with the ability to engage and influence others.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication

Experience in forestry or heavy industry desirable.  However, candidates with suitable experience within health safety across a range of industries may also be considered.
