About the Role

Join a team that values the wellbeing of our people and our place. As our Health, Safety & Wellbeing (HS&W) Officer – Outdoor, you'll play a vital role in supporting Council's health, safety, wellbeing, and child safety objectives. This is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact across our outdoor workforce and community.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with teams to implement safety, wellbeing, and child safety initiatives
  • Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments
  • Support injury management and return-to-work programs
  • Assist in delivering wellbeing programs and child safety training
  • Maintain accurate documentation and support compliance reporting

What You'll Bring

  • Diploma or Certificate in OHS, Wellbeing, or related field (or significant experience)
  • Return-to-Work Coordinator certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong knowledge of OHS legislation and risk management
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience in safety, wellbeing, or compliance roles (local government preferred)
