About the Role

We're seeking a
Product Development Lead
to guide the end-to-end development of

new and existing electromechanical products. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with

teams across Marketing & Sales, Manufacturing, and Service & Maintenance to create

innovative solutions from concept to commercialisation.

In this leadership role, you'll manage a team of designers, engineers, and contractors,

while driving continuous improvement, maintaining compliance, and building a highperforming development culture.

Candidates must be Australian citizens to be eligible for this position.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the design and development of new products and services
  • Improve existing product designs to boost customer satisfaction, reduce costs, and
  • enhance supply chain resilience
  • Build, mentor, and manage a talented multidisciplinary team
  • Champion best practices in engineering design, ethics, and safety
  • Define and deliver on product requirements using systems engineering principles (e.g.
  • INCOSE frameworks)
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders on timelines, risks, and outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards (e.g. ISO9001, ISO13485)

What You Bring

  • At least 7+ years of experience in product development and commercialisation of
  • electromechanical systems (e.g. medical devices, industrial automation)
  • At least 2+ years in a people leadership role
  • A degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related Engineering discipline
  • Experience integrating UI/UX, software, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Deep understanding of design controls, risk management, and product
  • verification/validation
  • Strong analytical skills and familiarity with structured product development processes

Tools We Use (Experience a Plus)

  • CAD: SolidWorks, Fusion360
  • Software: C, C++, Python, Codesys
  • Stats/Analysis: Minitab or equivalent
  • Project Management: Microsoft Project or similar
  • Electronics (Bonus): Altium or other PCB design tools
