Our client is seeking a highly skilled Lead Developer with a strong background in front-end and back-end JavaScript frameworks and proven experience in investment or financial services. The successful candidate will technical lead developers to design, build, and maintain scalable web applications that support critical investment operations and customer-facing digital platforms.
You will play a key role in defining the technical direction, ensuring code quality, and driving innovation across the platform.
Responsibilities- Lead the design, development, and implementation of high-quality web applications using AngularJS, ReactJS, and NodeJS.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and Business Analysts to translate investment business requirements into technical solutions.
- Oversee system architecture, code reviews, and development best practices.
- Mentor and guide a team of developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
- Ensure system performance, scalability, and security standards are met.
- Integrate APIs and microservices for data exchange with investment and trading systems.
- Work closely with DevOps teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
- Troubleshoot production issues and drive continuous improvements in system reliability.
- 8+ years of software development experience, with at least 2-4 years in a lead role.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and frameworks such as AngularJS, ReactJS, and NodeJS.
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud environments (AWS / Azure / GCP).
- Proven experience working in investment, wealth management, or financial markets environments.
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools, version control (Git), and automated testing frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to lead complex technical projects.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Understanding of financial products, portfolio management, or trade processing.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of database systems (SQL and NoSQL).
