Are you an experienced Accountant seeking your next challenge in a corporate setting? 

The Ray White Finance team is seeking an Accountant for a 15-month full-time fixed term contract. This role is a parental leave cover, with the possibility of moving into permanent employment at the end of the term based on performance and team structural requirements. 

As an Accountant at Ray White, you will be responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements, as well as ensure appropriate accounting control procedures. 

Duties and responsibilities include: 
  • Month End Reporting
    • Monthly management reports (including profit and loss), variance analysis, and insightful commentary to strict deadlines
    • Benchmark reporting for different departments
    • Balance sheet reconciliations
    • Bank reconciliations and banking support
    • Rent, fitout, and parking reconciliations
    • Reconciling and authenticating data from different sources
    • Ensure transactions, supporting workpapers, and EOM deadlines are met to the highest standard
  • Tax Reporting
    • Preparation of monthly and quarterly BAS/GST lodgements
    • Assist in compliance requirements in relation to Payroll Tax, FBT, and Income Tax
  • Other Duties
    • Provide support to the AR and AP functions as required
    • Assist with maintaining the Finance team's procedural documents
    • Assist in preparation of annual budgets and forecasting
    • Assist in year end audit
    • Other ad-hoc duties as required
Who we're looking for:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Commerce or Accounting and Finance and studying towards CPA/CA qualified
  • Minimum 3 years experience in similar Accountant role
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills 
  • Great problem solving and attention to detail
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, experience with Oracle Netsuite and Xero also beneficial
  • Proactive, confident, flexible, and adaptable individual who works well under pressure managing multiple deadlines.
