About the Role
As an Accountant at Aurion, you'll be at the heart of our financial operations, playing a key role in driving accuracy, insight, and business success. This is your chance to broaden your accounting skills and make a real impact in a business that values your ideas and initiative.
Key responsibilities include:
- Issuing accurate and timely invoices
- Managing collections, reconciliations, and follow-up on overdue accounts
- Maintaining the customer ledger and providing insights for cash flow and credit management
- Preparing aged receivables and cash flow reports, with analysis to support financial planning
- Acting as the main contact for customer and vendor inquiries.
- Overseeing the Purchase Order process and collaborating with Accounts Payable
- Assisting with month-end close activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and audit support
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
- Assisting with finance and system improvement projects
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements
- Performing ad hoc financial tasks and reporting as required
Skills & Experience
- Experience in accounts receivable, invoicing, and collections — ideally with large organisations or government clients
- Understanding of accounting principles, ledger management, and financial reporting
- CPA or CA qualified, or currently working towards certification
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to work independently and manage priorities
- Strong Excel skills, with the ability to analyse and present financial data clearly
- Comfortable working across teams including procurement, accounts payable, and operations
- Proficient in ERP/accounting systems such as Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) or similar
- A mindset for continuous improvement, with experience streamlining finance processes
