About the Role

As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing and nurturing fitness industry accounts with the purpose of growing and developing student enrolments.

The BDM role requires strong sales acumen with a focus on lead generation and acquisition, as well as professional rapport building and networking skills to both sustain current business relationships as well as to grow new business.

Some responsibilities include:

  • Strategic and tactical marketing activities including relationship management, partnerships, and business development activities to drive student recruitment and lead conversion.

  • Developing and nurturing relationships with prospective students, club owners, managers, and industry partners, promoting products and services aligned with sales and marketing strategies.

  • Undertake scheduled and timely onsite visits with all current and prospective industry partners to support ongoing product training and ensure professional display and maintenance of marketing materials.

  • Lead the planning and execution of career events, training sessions, and Personal Development Days to engage industry partners.

  • Report on enrolment efforts, sales, revenue, and student progression and use insights from this data to guide future marketing strategies and consistently achieve KPIs across contacts, appointments, and conversion rates.

About You

  • At least 3 years of sales experience, with proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or similar.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships and proven ability to negotiate and influence at all levels

  • Clear communicator, with a extroverted style and the ability to engage

  • Strong sales acumen with a focus on lead generation and acquisition

  • Proven sales track record with working experience as a business development manager, sales manager or similar

  • Experience using CRM software, as well as proficiency in MS Office

  • Effective time management and prioritisation skills

  • Existing Industry relationships in the fitness industry would be highly desirable

  • Experience within RTO or Higher Education sector preferred but not essential
