About the role

Mater Private Hospital Springfield is seeking an experienced and dedicated Clinical Nurse to join our collaborative Outpatient Department in this permanent full-time opportunity.

The unit provides a variety of outpatient services (including clinics and preadmission health screening) for patients to achieve optimal health management. The unit has a strong commitment to the Mater mission and values with staff striving to offer a compassionate service to patients and their families, to show sensitivity regarding privacy, flexibility when considering patients individual needs, and to promote a helpful environment in which the multidisciplinary team works effectively.

Salary range: $ $58.30 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits 

What you'll be doing

In this role, you'll deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care while supporting patient coordination and clinical excellence within the Outpatient Department.

You will:

  • Provide clinical support to the Preadmission and Health Hub Nursing teams
  • Schedule patients for theatre across multiple specialties in line with ESIS and GESIS guidelines
  • Collaborate closely with Outpatient Administration and Clinical Consultants to ensure effective communication and patient flow
  • Deliver safe, compassionate, and timely care that aligns with Mater's values and National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, education, and quality initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and service delivery

About you

You're an adaptable and compassionate nursing professional with strong clinical leadership skills and a commitment to patient-centred care. You thrive in a collaborative environment and bring a proactive, solutions-focused mindset to every challenge.

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum 3 years' clinical experience within an acute care or specialty nursing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, educate, and support a nursing team
  • Proven experience in patient coordination or scheduling (desirable)
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to Mater's mission, values, and standards of excellence
