This is a fixed-term contract opportunity until January 2027.

What you'll deliver with us

Australia Post's Online Shop ) provides access to a core range of products to both consumer and business customers. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Online Shop Operations in the Digital Technology team, this position is responsible for the daily coordination, enrichment and publishing of products and website content for the Online Shop. You will perform general platform administration, facilitating product onboarding and promotional activity. You will continually seek ways to improve time-to-market whilst maintaining best practice online catalogue management processes. This position ensures all the stock we have is in the system. This data is gathered from the product team and it's your role to ensure all the fields, images, data sources/integrity are correct.

A key part of this role is product onboarding which includes you uploading products to the Online Shop eCommerce platform. This includes product enrichment in accordance with the organisation's style guides/conventions; product lifecycle attributes; product categorisation; product cross-sell and up-sell on the shopfront; sourcing & coordinating digital assets; preparing all product content submissions for approval; coordinating staging and production; and scheduling promotional activity. Additionally, it's important to understand that data is coming from multiple sources including collectables and the sending products team. This data comes to us in various cadences so it's important to schedule accordingly when it goes live.

What you'll do

  • Product knowledge: Develop & effectively apply your knowledge of the varying requirements and business rules for different product types and categories.
  • Banner coordination: Engage with the relevant teams to create and publish shop banners to agreed timelines.
  • Quality control & accuracy: Monitor and ensure accurate product information, images, pricing, attributes and lifecycle; work with the operations team to implement robust testing and quality control processes and report any issues with source data.
  • Platform administration: Develop a comprehensive understanding of platform functionality and system integrations that affect the product lifecycle & downstream processes - apply this knowledge to effectively fix and report where applicable; maintain user profiles and permissions in line with business and operational requirements; provide feedback and reporting of platform performance to management.
  • Continual Improvement: Support the continual improvement of the product onboarding processes to achieve deadlines without sacrificing quality.
  • Communicate: Provide regular communication of status updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Occasional out-of-hours publishing for urgent matters and launches.

About You

We are looking for a data specialist who understands SAP integration and Excel. Ultimately you will use your strong communication skills to influence the technology teams to ensure the data we have is the same data being reflected in our online shop. Sometimes there may be errors in our online shop so it is your role to troubleshoot and find out where the source of the problem is coming from. You will thrive in this role if you have good writing skills, you are proactive and you have a strong attention to detail. A confident communicator with experience collaborating with cross-channel teams is relevant

You'll also need

  • Experience using eCommerce applications. We use Intershop (preferred) but exposure to Shopify, Adobe Commerce or equivalent is acceptable
  • Background working with online shop in a similar role focusing on product content and category experience
  • Experience as an online content coordinator or e-commerce administrator in a large retailer environment with an online shop is highly regarded
  • Understand the importance of SEO and web content optimisation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (must) and HTML (useful but not a requirement)
  • Ability to roll out products online and comfortable working to tight deadlines
  • Available over upcoming holiday period. You will not need to work on the public holidays, but we do need this person to be available up to the new year
