About the role
Kingsthorpe Medical Centre is seeking an experienced General Practitioner to join our dedicated team in Kingsthorpe, QLD. As a full-time General Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality, comprehensive primary healthcare services to our patients. What you'll be doing
- Providing comprehensive primary healthcare services, including consultations, examinations, and treatments
- Diagnosing and managing a wide range of medical conditions
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests
- Prescribing and administering medications as appropriate
- Referring patients to specialists or other healthcare providers as needed
- Maintaining detailed and accurate patient records
- Participating in ongoing professional development and training
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care
What we're looking for
- Registration as a General Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Fellowship with either FRACGP or FACRRM is required for this position
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required for this position
- Extensive experience (a minimum of 3 years) in general practice, preferably in a primary care or community-based setting
- Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based medical practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and collaborate with other healthcare providers
- Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centred care
- Adaptability and ability to work well in a team-based environment
- Proficiency in the use of medical software and electronic health records
- Proficiency in Best Practice medical software is required
