Atlas Events brings thousands of people together each year through the Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Hobart, Cairns Marathons and the brand-new Hervey Bay Half Marathon (with more to come).

Our events attract thousands of participants each year, celebrating health, community and achievement, while also driving real benefits for local businesses, tourism and charities.

We've created a new Sales & Relationship Manager role to grow and nurture the partnerships that make these events possible.

What you'll do

  • Build strong, long-term relationships with sponsors and partners, from the first phone call through to post-event wrap-up.
  • Identify and secure new sponsorship opportunities across our portfolio of events.
  • Help shape and sell sponsorship opportunities that deliver value for both the partner and the event.
  • Work closely with our event operations and marketing team to make sure sponsor activations run smoothly.
  • Be on the ground at events, hosting VIPs, supporting commentators and ensuring our sponsors have a great experience.

What you'll bring

  • Proven experience in sales, corporate partnerships, sponsorship, or related fields (tourism, media, events).
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, you're as comfortable pitching as you are nurturing long-term connections.
  • Negotiation skills and a track record of closing deals.
  • An organised, collaborative approach, you know how to work with a team to deliver on promises.
  • Flexibility to attend weekend events and put in the work when race week arrives.
  • A background in mass participation events or a personal passion for sport and fitness is a bonus (but not essential).
  • Experience with constructing and submitting tenders and pitches to government/councils would be an advantage
